Karen trained at St Mary’s Hospital School of Physiotherapy in London (UK) from 1981-1984. She worked in London at Northwick Park Hospital following graduation. After some round the world travel she arrived in Seattle in 1989. Here she specialized in orthopedics and gained her manual therapy certifications through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (NAIOMT) to their advanced level and becoming a clinical fellow instructor.
Karen has taught on the adjunct clinical faculty at the University of Washington Physical Therapy Doctorate Program for the last 10 years, assisting with the fall quarter teaching of the spinal musculo-skeletal program and the teaching of the spinal mobilizations and manipulations in the summer quarter.

Karen loves to spend time with her 3 wonderful grown children, cooking for family and friends, making mosaics and dreams of more international travel again one day
