Aaron Shaw
(OTR/L, CHT, CSCS, Physio Coach • Founder)
Soon after starting his career as an occupational therapist in 1996, Aaron realized there were significant gaps in the traditional healthcare model. While therapists have the training to rehabilitate people after injury, clients often return months after discharge with a recurrence of an old injury or an entirely new injury. With health insurance dictating medical care and the absence of a comprehensive transition from “patient” to fitness enthusiast or athlete, Aaron knew there had to be a better way to care for people.
In April 2015, Aaron founded MoveMend Rehab and Performance to change the model of health and fitness by bridging the gap between rehabilitation and performance training. In the years that followed he created Physio Coaching™.
Physio Coaching™ is a service that helps people, with and without injuries, safely work towards peak fitness and performance by integrating rehabilitation with strength and conditioning principles.
Aaron is an author and speaker with a passion for shaking up the status quo. While running his growing practice he enjoys mentoring the next generation of uncompromising rehabilitation professionals who want to continue to serve clients through our VIP service model.
