Troy acquired his personal trainer certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in 2017. He started working at the Matt Griffin YMCA as a personal trainer and group instructor. In the summer of 2018, Troy obtained his Corrective Exercise Specialization from the NASM.
He recently acquired his Functional Movement Screen certification from FMS and Performance Enhancement Specialization from NASM. Through a multi-faceted approach, Troy likes to work with clients independently, or collaborate with other trainers, coaches, physical therapists, and nutritionists to improve various aspects of an individual’s health and fitness. He also helps clients correct muscle imbalances/asymmetrical shifts, and eliminate joint pain with an effective process that improves physical mobility, creates balance, stability and proper musculature functionality
From witnessing his uncles’ inspiring successes as they competed in powerlifting to learning proper nutrition from his aunt, Troy’s early life experiences propelled him into a lifelong journey of fitness and nutrition. As his passion for exercise and nutrition grew, Troy realized that living a healthy, active lifestyle invigorated those around him to walk a healthier path.
