Why you should choose MoveMend
MoveMend is unique in the services we offer for pain-free movement, whether you have a new injury, chronic pain, limited range of motion, or just want to perform better in your favorite sport. We provide a customized combination of services to meet the needs of our patients and clients.
We offer occupational therapy, physical therapy, and personal training (both post-injury and performance driven) in an intimate setting. We want you to feel like you’re part of the MoveMend family. We take pride in our ability to move patients from therapy to post-rehabilitation personal training and beyond to help you regain physical strength and mobility!
Physical therapy with MoveMend
When it comes to our physical therapy services, all your care will be with a doctor of physical therapy, no aids or assistants. Your initial evaluation will last for an hour, and follow-up appointments are between 45 min to 1 hour. First and foremost, we want to make sure we’re meeting your needs. Your therapist will help you understand your body and how to move more optimally. As you improve, you’ll transition to fewer visits as you reach your goals.
Moving from therapy to personal training
Many of our physical therapy patients tell us they want to work out again but are afraid of re-injuring themselves after getting discharged from therapy. That’s actually one of the biggest benefits of getting personal training at our facility. Our therapists can keep a close watch on those patients we have recently transitioned and can provide guidance for areas that need additional focus. They also set aside time to talk 1:1 with the personal trainers to ensure proper precautions are taken for safety and best success.
Come in just for personal training!
But you don’t have to be a current patient to come in for personal training! Anyone who is interested in personal training can schedule an evaluation. On your first session, regardless of whether you were previously a patient, you’ll meet the personal trainer to discuss your current condition, concerns, and goals. If appropriate, your trainer will conduct a Functional Movement Screen (FMS) with you. The FMS will give you and your trainer a better idea of your current fitness level, including strengths and weaknesses. Your trainer will then be able to create an individualized program that meets your needs.
Whatever your needs to help you move better, MoveMend is here to help you meet your goals and move your best. Schedule an evaluation today.
